while attending art classes at mt. hood community college in 1999 i realized that i really enjoyed working with glass. i started by making tile mosaics, one of which alaska airlines contracted me to make. after completing a few mosaics i started experimenting with glass and became more interested in what i was doing. after several projects i enrolled in a beginning stained glass course at cline glass, learning the skills of stained glass windows. i am also interested in learning how to fuse. i have really grown to love making things with glass and learning how to use it. someday i will have my own space so i can focus on making more art and learning new and interesting techniques. in the meantime if you are interested in custom made projects feel free to e mail me at shane@iStanton.com |
